A big job with a huge resonsibility. The challenge; how to reinvigorate and refresh a tired, but much loved, iconic New Zealand brand, making it more relevant to more people. How to modernise in order to compete in a highly competitive market, but retain the traditional values and authenticity the existing customer base holds in high regard.
Monteith’s is a beer brand with a proud heritage and loyal, protective supporters. The solution was to evolve, not revolutionise. Certain signature elements were retained, whilst others were refined or given a more modern interpretation. In addition a whole new range of brand photography was created to add depth to the Monteith’s brand story.
A new platform from which to mould the new brand was established;
I am Monteith’s. I am an independent spirit.
