They describe themselves as talent matchmakers, matching the right talent, with the right agency or studio. They believe they can do this by really understanding their talent and clients on a personal level. The concept behind the brand was in the intertwining of the 't' with the 's' to suggest the idea of partnerships or connections. This was placed in a rosette like form, in a sense, a seal. Their aim is to help companies become more proftable, efficient and sustainable. The name Bosphorus was inspired by the Bosphorus Strait, a stretch of water that runs through Istanbul. Translated it means an Ox fording a river. From this a simple, yet charming Ox character was created to personify the brand. A reduced colour palette featuring just two colours, turquoise and charcoal, gives the brand strong recognition. Their distinctive wine making practice, mixing old world and new world techniques, ensures that the wines they produce are like no other. The overall objective was to tell the ARA story in a structured, informative way that would in turn create a desire for the wine ‘explorer’ to find out more and have a window into the ARA world. The solution was defined around the proposition of “raw sophistication” a duality that speaks of the wine’s origins (raw) and who and where it is enjoyed (sophistication) and of the old and new. The “rawness” is expressed visually through the typography and the use of a custom slab stenciled typeface, ARA. A reduced colour palette, often simply black and white, along with a checkered grid system combines to bring a degree of sophistication to the communication. The checkered grid system, a prominent feature of the material, was inspired by the multiple stories and moments of truth that customers experience with the brand. The concept we put around the 06 brand was the idea of bringing colour into your life through culture. This was realised through the form of a colour swatch book which became the Kiwi’s tail which in turn informed the complete brand expression.
